BROOKLYN - A man was fatally stabbed at a Brooklyn playground Tuesday morning, police said. Police received a 911 call of a person being stabbed at 8:45 a.m. It happened at the Stueben Playground on Flushing Avenue and Steuben Street in Clinton Hill.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An NYPD detective is accused of attempting to assault a victim and stealing a cell phone in domestic incidents on Staten Island. Det. Douglas MacEwen, 42, a 19-year veteran of the NYPD, was arrested for alleged incidents that occurred on consecutive days on the East Shore, according to criminal complaints.
