The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall alert for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and south Interior Karnataka due to a low-pressure system over the southwest Bay of Bengal, expected to last until November 16.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts above normal rainfall for Chennai and Tamil Nadu in November, with intense rainfall predicted to begin next week due to a new weather system. Expect warmer temperatures and potential thunderstorms in the coming days.

The IMD bulletin also calls for significant rainfall across twenty-three Tamil Nadu districts on Thursday, including Cuddalore, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram, along with Puducherry and Karaikal.
