Elon Musk is using his social media platform to promote misinformation about the presidential candidates in the lead up to the November election, amplifying false claims Wednesday about a Trump rally bomb threat and immigrants eating pets in Ohio.

In a response to Musk’s comment, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt wrote on X, “At a time when antisemitism is exploding in America and surging around the world, it is indisputably dangerous to use one’s influence to validate and promote antisemitic theories.”

Elon Musk and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Wednesday both took to X to decry a rumor that an explosive device was discovered near the Long Island site where former President Trump is set to hold a rally Wednesday night.
