"Chicago" star Richard Gere has decided to sell his New Canaan home in Connecticut. Gere bought the house in 2022 through a trust linked to him from singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Edie Brickell for $10.8 million. Simon and Brickell sold at a loss, as they paid $16.5 million originally.

Richard Gere sold his Connecticut estate for $10.75 million, taking a $50,000 loss as he plans a move to Spain with his family.

The "An Officer and a Gentleman" star sold the 32-acre New Canaan property, located at 82 Brookwood Lane, for $10.75 million last month, according to the town's property records. Gere still has his New York home home in Westchester County so it appears he will keep some presence in the United States.
