Georgia’s Fulton County has hired a team of independent monitors to observe its operations for this year’s general election.

Georgia election officials have said they are “gravely concerned that dramatic changes” approved by the State Election Board “will disrupt the preparation and training processes already in motion.”

Experts say hand counting ballots takes longer and is less accurate than using machines, and would be impractical in Pennsylvania elections.
