Migrants at a shelter on the Mexican side of the southern border say they are waiting anxiously to see if they can cross into the United States before President-elect Trump takes office.

A new caravan, which began earlier this week in southern Mexico, included approximately 3,000 migrants seeking asylum in the U.S.

Trump's promises of mass deportation and tougher border policies appealed to many American voters. But his election has also caused fear and uncertainty among migrants desperate to enter the U.S.
